Here's the back story:
Ellen worked at Word Of Mouth, on Lexington Avenue between 72nd Street and 73rd Street, in the 1980's and Alicia Reinish came to work there right after Ellen left and they met back then. Richard had his hair salon next door. Ellen and Richard became friends and when we opened Moscow 57
Richard produced his one man show East End Boy there and became a regular performer. Alicia and Ellen reconnected at a series of wonderful parties that Alicia catered and here we all are.

The Catered Word was established in 1989 from New York's renowned gourmet food shop Word of Mouth. We have been serving our clients with retail food deliveries, specializing in our
full service catering company. And now we are spreading the word about our frozen food line.
In 2003 we were fortunate enough to acquire a space at the Chinese Scholar Garden in Snug Harbor Cultural Center. Based in a cottage built in the 1860s, we were able to provide breakfast, lunch and dinners for visitors as well as the locals. Named Cafe Botanica, it was a well known eatery for the length of its establishment.
