Clark County water district hit with cyber attack
LAS VEGAS (AP) - The Clark County Water Reclamation District has been hit with a cyber-attack but officials say operations haven't been disrupted and no customer or employee information was hacked. The agency said in a statement Monday that its computer system was attacked late Friday night. Computers were shut down as a precaution but operations at all seven treatment facilities and customer service centers were not affected. [...] Its website said it's responsible for treating 170 million gallons of used water and sewage from thousands of homes, hotels, schools, churches and businesses.

NRWA has a new partnership with
IntelliCorp, a leading provider of comprehensive background check services. Members of State and National Rural Water Associations can access this deal, which eliminates a $129 subscription fee, and provides a solid background check package for $30. Systems can run credit reports for $10, plus a one-time $70 site inspection fee.
IntelliCorp provides validated criminal searches, screening packages, personalized support, training and compliance. A Verisk Analytics (NASDAQ: VRSK) business, IntelliCorp is accredited through the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS).
