Thank you Jane for 39 years!

Legal Aid Comptroller Wayne Keawe and Donna Chu from the Kauai Legal Aid office congratulate Jane for her service.

After 39 years of service, Legal Aid's Senior Accountant Jane Onigama is finally retiring.

I just wanted to say "Thank you" to everyone for their best wishes, gifts and lei's on my last day.  It was greatly appreciated.

I am excited and looking forward to my retirement but I know when things settle down, I will miss all of you, after all Legal Aid has been a part of my life for the past thirty nine years.

I really enjoyed my time at LASH and working with all of you.  The friendships I made throughout the years, will be cherished always.

Wishing all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy & Prosperous New Year!

Mahalo & Aloha,

Jane

Kona Legal Aid Office in the Community

The Kona office joined other local groups serving the community in the Ho'omaika'i ike Ola Kino - "Celebrate Life& Health" event held last month at the Ocean View Community Center. The Kona staff provided outreach services together with other groups that serve indigent populations, including the fire department/ EMS which provided free heart rate monitoring.

The Hope Services Outreach was part of the Annual Homeless Luncheon Event held at Old Airport Park here in Kailua Kona on November 20, 2014, where local groups that serve indigent populations came to help serve a Thanksgiving meal, provide donations, and serve informational booths, also, we won an award for best decorated booth! Although, I think the massive pile of candy might have won everyone over! :)  Erin Hensschel, AmeriCorps Member Kona
