State of the Hill 2016

The Capitol Hill Chamber of Commerce appreciates everything that our members do to keep our neighborhood healthy and vibrant, and we'd like to invite you to help us celebrate the year at our annual State of the Hill event on April 20th!  Tickets can be purchased through Brown Paper Tickets.  You do not have to be member to attend;  non-members are welcome and encouraged to celebrate with us!

This y ear's S tate of the Hill Address will be the first for our Executive Director, Sierra Hanse n. The evening will be MC'd by local draglesquer, producer, and activist - The Lady B.  We'll have an assortment of delicious bites from Lost Lake, Poquitos, and Big Mario's.   DJ Blueyedsoul  will be spinning great tracks throughout the evening and the Awesome Witch of Rad will be offering guests intuitive readings.

We will also be raffling off prizes from local businesses throughout the evening - this is a great opportunity for restaurants and retailers to showcase your bu siness.  Contact [email protected] if you would like to donate an item to this  year's raffle.  Showcase and Supporter-level sponsorships  are also still available!


      
This year, the Chamber will be presenting the 2015 Spirit Award to an individual, organization or business that has shown an outstanding commitment to the Capitol Hill community.  The Spirit Award represents the best of Capitol Hill through community service, excellence, and passion for this neighborhood.  

We are pleased to announce this year's nominations:  Liz Dunn (for leadership and commitment to  preserving the Pike/Pine corridor),  Jerry Everard (for years of philanthropy and commitment to the Capitol Hill neighborhood), Rich Fox (for years of advocacy surrounding sm all business in Capitol Hill), Don Jensen (for work with Capitol Hill Community Lunch),  Jeff Pelletier (for stewardship on 15th Avenue), and the Volunteer Park Trust (for community engagement and beautification of Capitol Hill)


This year's State of the Hill will be the best one yet, and we could not have done it without the support of our members and neighbors.  We hope to see you there!
