Munich Memorial Featured in The New York Times

Sam Borden, writer for The New York Times, recently published an excellent piece about the Munich memorial project. The article highlights the importance of this memorial to the families of the slain Israeli athletes. For decades these families have struggled to have their loved ones' lives properly honored, and now steps are being made to achieve respectful remembrance.

 

"Munich 72 and Beyond" film in production!

We are in the post-production phase of the documentary, "Munich 72 and Beyond," which further explores the healing impact the Munich memorial will bring to the victims' families -- as well as to the Olympic movement itself. 

Around the Rings recently interviewed Dr. Steven Ungerleider, one of the film's producers and a GSD executive board member, about progress on the film and his own thoughts on the memorial's significance.
