WRHS Art Students Create Totem for Hailey Elementary Library

WRHS students in Betty Ervin's Ceramics II class created a totem made of ceramic figures from children's books.  The students interviewed Hailey Elementary students to find out what they would like to see included in the totem.  WRHS students included: Daisy Avila, Abby Benson, Vivian Garcia, Carrie Lawson, Ben Pedraza, Sole Spigner, Liz Vazquez, and Ana Wiederrick.

Wood River Middle School students participated in the annual International Landmark Games this winter, a competition between middle school aged students from schools around the world. 25 schools competed at the Challenge Level in this year's games with schools from the United States, Russia, and the Czech Republic. April is School Library Month
School libraries are a vital part of schools. April is an opportunity to celebrate the essential role that strong school library programs play in transforming learning.  Watch a time lapse video of the library at Wood River Middle School to get a glimpse of the myriad of activities that take place on a minute by minute basis in one of our school libraries.
Hemingway Students Learn About Early American Colonists
Hailey Students Win Idaho Fiction Writing Contest
Hailey Elementary 4th and 5th grade students entered, and won, the Idaho Magazine Fiction Writing contest.  Awards went to: First Place, Korbin Heitzman, The Troll and the Giant Hamster, Second Place, Lucy Pietsch, The Trip, Third Place (tie), Lella Aicher,   The Elephant's Feet and  Gina Greenberg, Strayed from the Herd. Congratulations to these students!
