Unlike other competencies, drive and ambition are not learned skills. Either you have it or you don't. Granted people who are not naturally driven and ambitious can be motivated to achieve certain results, yet generally there is an external motivating factor that influences the behavior. Those with natural drive and ambition are internally motivated and are able to sustain their own momentum.
