The snow has begun, the weather is turning cold (although what is cold to New Englanders?), and our authors are working hard to make it a festive holiday season by greeting their friends, family and potential readers at book signings and events throughout Maine and Massachusetts.

What's Changed?
| For those of you who have received our newsletter in the past, you may notice a slight difference in the look of the newsletter. We are pleased to add Boston Writers Publishing logo to our header. We are up and running in our Waltham, MA office although currently most communication is from our Rockland, Maine office. We have many new authors from the Boston area and the reception to bookstores has been very positive. Be sure to check out our website at www.bostonwriterspublishing.com. This newsletter will include information on both companies.

- September 19-21 - Common Ground Fair, Unity Maine. Thirteen authors from Maine Authors Publishing presented their books at this fair.
- October 25 - Boston Book Festival, Copley Square. Twelve authors from Boston Writers Publishing attended.
- November 8, Second Annual Self-Publishers Forum at the Falmouth Memorial Library. MAP president, Jane Karker, was one of the panelists.
- November 16-17 - Maine Library Association Conference, Bangor Maine. Fifteen authors displayed their books at this event.
- November 21-22 - New England Museum Association Conference attended by Jane Karker.

- December 15 (signup date) - One of MAP's authors, award-winning memoirist Katherine Mayfield, will be teaching a six-week online memoir-writing class beginning in January. This class will cover topics like how to choose a theme, how to make your writing more compelling, the importance of reflection, and specific techniques for writing memoir. The class also includes individualized feedback on your writing. By the end of the class, you'll be well on your way to completing your memoir. No driving in snow is necessary! AUTHOR FORUM and PRIVATE FACEBOOK PAGE
For MAP and BWP Authors that are currently in the Cooperative or Indie Author Warehouse plans, we offer two private author forums. We have recently set up a new PRIVATE Facebook page available by invitation only. The other author forum is also a private forum but is for authors who may or may not use Facebook. It includes information on upcoming awards you can apply for and book sales for the previous month along with questions you can ask other authors.
