Chief Gordon Ramsay comes to Wichita, Kansas by way of Duluth, Minnesota. Chief Ramsay grew up in Duluth and attended Duluth public schools where he graduated from Duluth East High School. Chief Ramsay began his police career in Wisconsin at the age of 20 and worked there for several years before returning to Duluth. During his career he has held assignments as a patrol officer, school resource officer, investigator, patrol sergeant, field training supervisor, community policing supervisor, training unit supervisor, patrol lieutenant and area commander prior to being promoted to Chief in 2006. In January of 2016, Chief Ramsay began his career with the Wichita Police Department.
