"Shine a Light" on Public Safety
Special 18th District CAPS Beat Meeting

You are invited to a special Chicago Police Department safety meeting next week, including an opportunity to speak directly with CPD Commander Devereaux. The unique beat meeting will be hosted by the police department's 18th District on Thursday, March 10th at 6:30 PM at the St. James Lutheran Church, 2101 N. Fremont. This meeting will cover sections of the 43rd Ward between North and Fullerton Avenues.

Commander George Devereaux and other CPD officers will address security and crime statistics, offer safety tips, and also take your questions.

And the police will host special breakout sessions to help interested residents organize neighborhood watch groups, recruit block captains, and develop best practices for neighborhood safety.

If you are unable to attend this special CAPS beat meeting, please consider joining members of your community at your regularly scheduled local CAPS meeting. This is a great way to receive up-to-date information about crime and safety in your neighborhood and to tell police your concerns. Take a look at the 18th District  March calendar  to find the next meeting near you. If you live north of Fullerton, you can see your CAPS meeting schedule here. (the 43rd Ward is in beat 1932 and 1935)
