Happy Spring!!

We have sprung forward this year and really amped up our rescue & adoption program! So far in 2016 we have rescued 20 dogs and one cat...almost as many as we did all of last year! We have adopted out 13 dogs and one cat into forever homes. And we provided safe haven to two dogs whose owners were getting out of domestic violence situations. Those dogs have now been happily reunited with their families. We currently have 19 dogs in our care including one who is with us temporarily while her mom recovers from health issues.

When we take in a dog or cat they become a part of the AHA family for life. First we commit to providing them with everything they need to be successful in a forever home and then after adoption we remain their safety net should they ever need us in the future. Sometimes that comes with a high price tag and in order to continue doing our life-saving work we need to reach out to our community of supporters for help.

We currently have Zeke and Bert & Ernie who are in long-time boarding and training situations in order to prepare them to live in homes. We have Dawn who is mostly blind due to cataracts and who will soon need eye surgery to help restore some sight. We also have Amber (who was recently returned to us), Selena, and Blaze in boarding.

LOLA

Lola is a petite bully girl full of love & energy. She is approx 3 years old, 43 lbs, spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She loves to play and would love a doggie friend who likes to play too.


	Blaze

Blaze is a happy go lucky, let's play type of guy! He's very friendly and loves getting treats and love from all the people he meets! This sweet boy is good with small dogs and kids. BLAZE NEEDS A FOSTER!


Selena

Selena is a sweet and adventurous girl who loves to swim and hike. She is good with kids and other dogs with proper intro.

	Bert and Ernie

Bert & Ernie are cute little terrier mixes, Bert (father) is 4 years old and Ernie (son) is 1 year old. They are bonded best buds and must stay together. Right now they need to be the only pets but we are raising funds to get them training to help with their fear of other dogs.

Bruno

Oh so many great things to say about our boy Bruno!

He's mellow, approx 5.5 yrs old, great with all size friendly dogs, walks well on leash, is crate trained and also LOVES kids!
