5 Reasons Your Dog May Be Shaking His Head

Pets shake their heads for several reasons. The most common reason for head shaking in dogs is the one we all know - the head and coat shake after a swim at the beach or a soap-up at bath time. Regular or continuous head shaking in cats or dogs without reason is not normal and could be an ear of an issue!

Summer Swim Season
is Here!

Whether it's the dog days of summer or the cold, dark depths of winter, a dip in the pool can buoy both bodies and spirits! We all know that recreational swimming is great exercise for dogs. It is also a fun and social activity for dogs and owners. Not only that, it allows for a controlled environment that is beneficial both physically and physiologically.

For anyone who has been to a local lake or pond in the late summer months, it is not a surprise that an indoor swimming pool is a cleaner environment. Lakes and ponds can spread bacteria, giardia and other undesirables to your dog. Plus there's no mud to track back to your car, house and your shoes!

Meet Becky
Fetching More Out of Life

Becky is a certified veterinary technician (CVT) whose experience has ranged from working in mixed animal veterinary medicine (everything from dogs and cats, to horses, cattle, and even reindeer!), to her most recent time in the surgery department of a local specialty, emergency, and referral veterinary hospital. She enjoyed the rush of emergency medicine for several years, and committed herself to her surgery and anesthesia patients. She knew she had another calling, one with more happy endings and wagging tails. Canine and equine rehabilitation, alternative medicine, and pain management has been an ongoing interest, so when the opportunity arose to be a part of CRCG, she couldn't turn it down.  She is extremely excited to be a part of the ongoing growth of the field.  When Becky isn't working, this Colorado native enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, Jeremiah, and their "fur baby", Roo, a cattle dog/border collie mix. They partake in hiking, downhill mountain biking, and just soaking up the sun in the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
