President
From the President

Lewisville City Council has called a November 3, 2015, election for voters to consider a proposed $135 million bond package that includes street, park and public safety projects. The package will be presented to voters in four ballot propositions.

This week I will highlight the $10.5 million for public safety facilities, which includes a new Fire Station #3 located closer to FM 3040 and closer to new developments in southwest Lewisville; a second-floor addition to the police administration building; and a hardened emergency operations center in the basement of Lewisville City Hall.

The new fire station and the expanded police administration building will improve emergency response times and allow for continued growth. The emergency operations center will be a valuable asset for our community.

The Lewisville Area Chamber of Commerce supports the bond package. We encourage you to learn more about the ballot propositions and the positive impact they will have on the community where we live and work. Visit Yes Lewisville! for additional information.
