NHTSA Clarifies Recall Rules for Replacement Part Manufacturers
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) issued a final rule to amend defect and noncompliance notification requirements clarifying that replacement vehicle equipment manufacturers can satisfy recall requirements by refunding the purchase price of the recalled parts. This action will be effective as of Nov. 13, 2015. This action was required under provisions contained in the MAP-21 legislation (Section 31311), which passed in 2012. Specifically, this final rule amends the notification requirements under Part 577.5 and 577.6 to reflect that the option to refund the purchase price of the replacement equipment is available to manufacturers as a remedy for a defect or noncompliance.

It's a Myth That Only New Car Dealers Can Service a Vehicle Under Warranty - Share With Your Customers
When using a non-dealer, independent aftermarket shop to maintain your vehicle under warranty, it is strongly recommended to keep records and receipts for all maintenance that is done to the vehicle and adhering to scheduled maintenance requirements. If a warranty claim arises, these records will provide proof that maintenance has been performed in accordance with the manufacturers' recommendations and requirements. It's a common misconception that only car dealers can perform the routine maintenance and repairs on a newer vehicle that is under warranty. Consumers can have routine repairs performed by their local independent repair shop or do the work themselves without affecting the warranty. For more information, see the enclosure (
here).

Customer Information You Need to Build Super-Strong Relationships
We all seem to know that the more a prospect or customer likes us, the more likely they are to do business with us regardless of most other factors and in fact, a prospect will buy a higher-priced, inferior product from someone they like versus someone they don't. Download your guide (
here) to develop the information that is important in developing strong customer relations.

Workplace Bullying Might Be More Common Than You Think
When you hear the word "bullying," you probably think "kids." You might be surprised that bullying is a problem for many adults in the workplace: 35 percent of workers reported in a recent survey that they've dealt with an office bully. A survey of workers and HR managers, which was conducted by an independent research firm includes responses from more than 300 U.S. workers 18 years or older and employed in office environments, and more than 300 HR managers at U.S. companies with 20 or more employees. For further details see (
