IS THE RECORD SETTING IRRIGATION SEASON OVER?
Most likely, yes. The long, record setting irrigation season is likely over following the rain over the weekend.  The forecast for this week is warm and dry but rain is forecast next weekend again and most plants and lawns are slowing down, reducing their need for water. Unless the dry weather holds for over a week, most sites should not need any more irrigation.  As mentioned before, we are erring on the side of dry as it is so late in the season.  With cooler weather and consistent fall rains near, keeping sites dry is our plan to conserve water and help not blow up your budget any more than it has been so far. There are a few exceptions including seasonal color beds and newly planted landscapes.

LEAF REMOVAL IS STARTING
The long dry summer has stimulated many trees to shed their leaves earlier than normal.  The drought conditions have encouraged trees to go dormant earlier than normal despite the warmer than normal fall weather.  Although many trees are dropping earlier than normal, some may hold onto their leaves more similar to normal.  We will try our best to keep your property as clean as possible but while leaves are falling, our clean-up effort is often hard to tell when leaves fall after we leave.  This may make for a longer than normal messy leaf season.
