Happy, Healthy Earth Day!  Earth Day began in 1970 and has been going strong ever since.  Take this opportunity to try something new that is good for you, our community and the environment!

1.    Go shopping to plant a garden this weekend.  If you can't plant a full garden, consider a herb garden your deck or patio.

2.    Trade in your car for a bicycle for the day - or at least go for a ride!  Also, mark your calendars for the 2016 Bike Month Kick-off on April 28 at the Murdock Theatre at 7:00pm!

3.    Make plans with a friend to visit the Kansas Grown Farmer's Market tomorrow at 21st and Ridge from 7:00am - noon.

4.    Celebrate National Park Week and help the environment by connecting with it!  Be adventurous and go and visit one of Wichita's 127 parks!

5.    Take the bus!  Wichita Transit makes it safe, easy and affordable to get around town!  And, it is good for the environment!
