Citizen Academy Graduates 27 Residents
City leaders met for their regular Council meeting on Monday (you can watch it on our website or on Comporium's Ch. 115 @ 7am, 1pm and 7pm every day). Council recognized the most recent Citizens Academy graduates. A sincere thank you to the 27 grads who committed time in their schedules to learning more about their City. We will keep you posted on the dates for the next class!

It's official! The City is getting another middle school (in a few years) and a new 20-acre park with a $400,000 donation from the developer towards building it. Additionally, the developer is working out details on a potential tie-in to Zoar Road to give folks on the peninsula another way up to our neighboring state. No matter where you stand on the housing portion, these are hands down exciting aspects of the new project. Check out our website for more info and sign up for the myriad of communication avenues we have to keep you informed.

PD Goes High Tech!
Most of us are familiar with the use of laptops in police cars to put information at an officer's fingertips.  Enter the tablet (aka game changer).

The ability to navigate tablets to an array of information has captured the interest of the masses due to their convenience and relatively low cost. TCPD is excited to utilize these machines in our officers' cars as an efficient and low cost option to keeping you safe through obtaining and documenting necessary info. Rather than installing expensive laptops, we've chosen to go BOGO status. These tablets are less than half the cost of laptops and will not only allow our officers to remain in the field while writing their reports (visibility is key!), but this crucial piece of technology offers our officers the unique ability to photograph and document evidence right on scene.
