Faculty and students are invited to send us line drawings of work to be featured in the first APDesign coloring book! This will be used as an Open House give-away and activity. Parker Ruskamp, MLA 5th year, presented "Your Environment and You: Investigating Stress Triggers and Characteristics of the Built Environment." in the K-State Research and Creative Activity Forum. Parker's major professor is Brent Chamberlain. 

Taylor Allen, MLA 4th year, and Ethan Primm, BLA '08, are featured in the March issue of Landscape Architecture Magazine on pages 60-62. You can see  the article about their office, .dwg here. Kyle Grist, BLA '08, also is with the firm.

Kim (Dale) Kneifl, MLA student, will present the methodology of her thesis,  Capturing Perceptions: Instagram and the High Line, at the Architecture_Media_Politics_Society meeting, Digital-Cultural Ecology and the Medium Sized City, in Bristol, England, April 1-3. She also will present her work  in the Graduate Student Lightning Talks at the Society of Architectural Historians Society in Pasadena/Los Angeles, April 6-10. Kim's major professor is Stephanie Rolley.

Professors John Keller and Stephanie Rolley represented K-State at the national American Planning Association conference in Phoenix, April 2-5.

Two PBS shows addressing important landscape architecture and planning locations will debut in April. "  10 Parks That Changed America" airs nationally on April 12 at 7 pm on KTWU. "10 Towns That Changed America" airs on April 19 at 7 pm on KTWU. Each of the shows will be rebroadcast throughout the week of their airing.

The next Creative Placemaking Leadership Summit will be Friday, March 18 at Rutgers-Newark (NJ). Up to 250 key influencers from the fields of physical development, economic development, urban planning and design, and arts and heritage are expected to participate. Click here for more information.

The KS APA Spring 2016 Symposium, hosted by the City of Wichita, will take place Friday, April 22. This all day event, from 8am to 4pm (lunch will be at the food trucks in the popup park!) will include a bike tour. There will also be an evening reception for those who wish to stay. APA KS will reimburse any student travelers for gas money (as long as they carpool with a minimum of 3 in a vehicle).
