Prepare for Impact:
With all the talk about a potential monster bear market coming straight at us like a moon-sized meteor about to hit the Earth, I think now is a fine time to help you mentally prepare for the next big one.
To do this, I'm going with a brief and amazing post by Stoyan Bojinov (@SBojinov). He strings together a simple chart and a brief paragraph, one for each bear market since the 1950's (nine in total), that I promise will make you a more informed investor in the 3 or 4 minutes it will take you to get through it.
Spoiler - each bear market ended the same way; new all-time stock market highs. The shortest duration was 3 months, longest was 31 months.
