Hello Neighbors,

A big welcome to our newest Helpingfeelsgood.org partners: Whispering Manes Therapeutic Riding Center, Children's Home Society, Ft Lauderdale parks and Recreation, Communities In Schools and Broward Regional Health Planning Council.  These nonprofit organizations are looking for volunteers to help with a variety of needs.  Check out our volunteer matching website,  www.helpingfeelsgood.org  If you know of a nonprofit that could use high quality volunteers with talents and skills to share, tell them to contact us.

Not only is Publix where shopping is a pleasure, it's a great example of a corporation that cares deeply about community.  On April 6 th, Publix distributed 1.4 million dollars to over 60 nonprofits, including Neighbors 4 Neighbors.  The money was collected from customers during the annual Food For All Campaign over the holidays.  Thank you Publix, for your constant support of our South Florida neighbors in need.

Sincerely,
Lynne Cameron
Executive Director

DO YOU KNOW THE ABC's OF SAFE SLEEP?

When putting a baby to sleep it is important to follow the ABCs of safe sleep.
Babies should be alone, on their backs and in an empty crib.
When we skip any of these steps, like letting them sleep in bed with us or with their favorite stuffed animal, we put our babies at risk. And on average, nearly one baby dies every other week in our community due to these unsafe sleep practices.
Protect your baby by following the ABCs of safe sleep.

Neighbors 4 Neighbors is a non-profit organization 501 (c) 3 originally created by CBS4 in 1992 in the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew. As South Florida recovered, CBS4 made a commitment to make Neighbors an integral part of its community service program.  Using the power of television to reach people who want to help and by forging relationships with important community and business leaders, Neighbors has evolved into a valuable resource for individuals and families in our community facing critical needs.
