CMSRU Night at the Arden

Lou needs a kidney. Will his estranged daughter give him one? What does it mean to give a part of yourself to someone else?

Cooper Medical School of Rowan University and The Arden Theatre are proud to present the world premiere of the thought-provoking new play Under the Skin, by Michael Hollinger. The event, hosted by Drs. Saifuddin and Robin Mama, is Thursday, March 12 at The Arden in Philadelphia.

"This play's interesting perspective on humanism in medicine will resonate with all of us who work in health care," says Dr. Mama.

Tickets for the event are $15 per person, and include a pre-performance reception with hors d'oeuvres, drinks, and sweets. The reception is at 6:45 p.m. and the curtain rises at 8 p.m.

CMSRU's MEDacademy
Open House and Application Info

This summer, your teen can experience what it's like to attend medical school at MEDacademy, a four-week day program for highly motivated high school students currently in 10th, 11th or 12th grade. This interactive enrichment experience at CMSRU can help set your student apart at competitive pre-med college programs, and prepare him or her for the rigors of AP and college science courses. Students must be in excellent academic standing and demonstrate an interest in medicine.

We invite you and your inspiring physician to learn more! Join us for an informational session, hands-on demonstrations, tours, and light refreshments at the MEDacademy Open House at CMSRU on Saturday, March 14 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.  RSVP by March 9 to 856-956-2785 or email [email protected].

Additional information and application materials can be found HERE. The deadline for submission of application materials has been extended to Friday, March 27.

Caroline Kaigh:
Still Teaching, Still Learning

One summer during college, Caroline Kaigh got a job as a counselor with a community service educational program for homeless high school students. Little did she know her first day with the program would change her life. The teacher responsible for instructing the class never showed up. Armed with a vast amount of tutoring experience, Kaigh stepped in and took control. It was then that she realized she had a love for teaching.
