Porta1: Food for thought.... Since the PTB have stopped or made the reserve business unattractive for sellers. I believe they have reduced the amount of Dinar by limiting folks to only physical Dinar which is much less than with reserves. Keep the faith.
Martha: I think, according to what we have seen that the RI /RV did happen on 8/1 and now the final items are lined up-we have actually gotten a "clue" each day with certain things being in place

So the CBI wants to have a press conference at the Sheraton, sure they have plenty of AC and a large meeting room, but why have a press conference to just announce a loan to the banks.....there has to be more....time to put your thinking caps on.
Moussawi: There is a great difficulty in passing the draft oil and gas law in parliament
Here we have a member of the National Alliance bloc stating that he believes passing the oil and gas law will face difficulty in Parliament.....why is that.....
He also says that Parliament is interested in passing important laws that clearly impact the lives of the Iraqi citizens....pointing to a number of other laws that have been read not just once but twice, meaning they are ready for a vote.....National Guard law, Federal Court law, Political Parties law.....all stand poised and ready for a vote.....

Update: Customs & Tariffs Law
I wanted to reinforce the stance that the new customs and tariff law IS IN EFFECT however it is a new law and is being met with much resistance in some provinces as they try to find loopholes. Some ask the question as to how can the Iraq people afford these news goods as the tariff fees are passed on to the consumer? Also they say there must be an increase in the value of the dinar (an RV) to compensate for this increase.
So now I ask you this - Why would they need a revaluation of the dinar due to these tariffs if you truly believe they have paid the citizens the RV rate already on their cards for the month of July and plan to also pay them the same for August and so forth?
Many of these so called "gurus" have told you this. They hyped it all up. Do they forget their own intel from what they say from one call to the next? Don't they remember they told you the citizens already got paid the RV rate on their cards ($3.91) and they are using mostly USD in Iraq? So once again you are fooled by this nonsense from these so called "gurus". When will you ever learn? Shame on you.

Hello Everyone,
If you have been following my news letters you know that I mentioned that at each month end, the government of Abadi is reviewed for progress on these reconciliation reforms. We now know that there are 30 reforms and about 20 of them are done.
In recent articles this is most of what they are talking about. Its all about saving the government money and getting these reforms completed. There is so much concern and emphasis now for the completion of these reforms since mid August will make the 1 year outer timeframe for completion of these reforms. These reforms need laws in order to implement them. This is why I keep harping on the completion of these laws as they relate to the RV. No reforms No RV....sorry Charlie....!

They have put money on the street in the recent past, but not with this kind of fanfare.....and notice who will be in attendance at this "conference"......
Deputy PM Shaways.....CBI Governor.....ministers of Finance, agriculture, industry, housing, businessmen and investors.....oh and a few from the Finance Committee....tokens they are......why all this to roll out a loan process of 5 trillion dinars.....
I think like Frank said, the world is not likely to grasp the meaning of this "conference"......it sounds like it is to be something....much more than just an "announcement" for that could have been done at the steps of the CBI......keep your eyes peeled.

Millionday: Twilight News CBI / said on Wednesday he constantly meet all banks and companies requests from the dollar.
The bank announced in a statement seen by Twilight News, he was "continuously meet all the banks and companies of the dollar requests according to the instructions window without any change."
The bank said it was "an ongoing also accept cash deposits and the various groups," denying "any rumors otherwise that attempt to influence the exchange rate and stability."
The bank has taken a series of decisions in recent weeks to stabilize the local currency after the dinar dropped against the dollar to 1,400 dinars to the dollar.
