Prediction Run Food Drive

Have you ever participated in a race in which there was no money required for the entry fee, and no watches or phones allowed on the course? Each year the GSRC holds its Prediction Run on January 1. Not only were race participants required to run "naked" aka free of any watches, phones, etc. but they also had to predict their finish time. Once the runner crossed the finish line they were still left wondering about their total time. The winner is the one closest to their predicted finish time. Race participants were asked to donate at least 20 cans of food for race entry into the Prediction Run. The GSRC donated over 6,000 pounds of food to the Buck Creek Baptist Church Food Pantry! Thanks to all who participated! Click here for the Prediction Run race results.

Myrtle Beach Marathon Weekend
Tent Reminder!

2014 GSRC Tent for MB Marathon Weekend

We are less than a month away from race day! Hopefully the weather will be perfect, but just in case it doesn't cooperate members may leave extra clothes
at the post race tent prior to the race. There will be volunteers at the tent during the race. However, please use common sense and do not leave valuables in your bag.

Also, we will have the clothes drop box around mile 4. Runners may shed jackets, gloves and other extra clothing items and retrieve them at the GSRC tent following the race. If runners are interested in another box later in the race, please let us know and we will accommodate pending ample volunteers.

If you are not running the half or full marathon this year, or if you have a family member that is willing to volunteer during the race please contact
Lorena Cutright at [email protected].
