Savor Des Moines is an evening of sampling appetizers and cocktails from the best restaurants in Des Moines.

Jersey Mike's & Gilroy's Support Variety
Jersey Mike's- Head to Jersey Mike's on Wednesday, March 30 for their annual "Day of Giving", when 100 percent of the day's sales are donated to Variety.  Jersey Mike's is located at 12851 University Ave. #200 in Clive and is open 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Consider catering lunch at the office to support Variety, orders can be placed   online.

Gilroy's- Be the first to try out Gilroy's Kitchen + Pub + Patio on Monday, April 4 for their soft opening charity day. Food is 50% off with proceeds benefiting Variety. Make your reservations for breakfast, lunch or dinner today!

Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities
April 9, 2016: The 17th Annual 9 Bar Open (Cedar Falls)
The 9 Bar Open is a miniature golf tournament in Cedar Falls. Volunteers are needed to act as Official Miniature Golf Marshalls. Two shifts are available, 8:00 a.m. to noon and noon to 4:30 p.m. Volunteers must be 21. Contact

May 31 - June 5, 2016: Principal Charity Cla ssic
Volunteers are needed staff hole #13 where they will spot golf balls and quiet the crowds. Volunteers can sign up and pay their $85 through the Variety office. Volunteer registration includes a Principal Charity Classic golf shirt, jacket, hat/visor and free admission throughout the tournament.

July 9, 2016: Color Run
Volunteers are needed to assist with set up, check in, to hand out t-shirts and water, throw color and tear down. Variety receives a donation from the Color Run for providing volunteers.
