Save the Date! Give, Take, Care: Helping your clients, helping yourself

The Employment Assistance Resource Network (EARN) and the Youth Employment Network (YEN) are presenting a professional development event on Tuesday, June 28 from 8:30 am. to 11:30 am.  at the Nicholas Mancini Centre, located at 44 Hunt Street, Hamilton.

The event will be of interest to front-line staff in the employment, training and educational fields. 

Diana Tikasz, Social Worker/Clinical Specialist, St. Joseph's Health Care will be speaking on the topic, "Transforming Compassion Fatigue and Vicarious Trauma.

Catherine Maybrey, Graduate Career Strategist, McMaster University will be speaking on the topic, " Harnessing the power of social media to benefit your clients' goals.

A hot breakfast will be served and cost is $20 per person. There will be time to network and to share resources.

Study reveals best way to strengthen workplace culture

When HR professionals and managers were asked what they do to preserve and strengthen workplace culture, the number one response was training and development, according to research by The Workforce Institute at Kronos.

Indeed, 72 per cent of HR professionals and 61 per cent of managers listed training and development as the key to strengthening workplace culture.
