Friday, September 23; 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Having compassion for others comes naturally to those of us in professional caregiving roles. How often do we turn that same compassion to ourselves?
When we try to take care of the world before taking care of ourselves, we can succumb to fatigue and burnout. A kind and compassionate attitude toward the self strengthens our ability to be an open and giving presence for others.
Joyce Rupp will help us understand the gift of self-compassion as it relates to professional caregiving.
We will explore our relationship with ourselves and develop skills for self-care and mindfulness. In doing so, we will learn to connect the mind, body, and spirit, building resiliency and creating a practical toolkit of compassionate practices for life’s most difficult moments.
