The Julie Taymor World Theater Fellowship
|
Internationally renowned theater director Julie Taymor is pleased to announce the creation of THE JULIE TAYMOR WORLD THEATER FELLOWSHIP, which will support exceptional, young theater directors’ travel to one of four (4) areas: Central and South America, Africa, the Middle East or Asia in pursuit cultural and artistic experiences and an expanded vision of world theater.
This is an opportunity for enterprising young theater directors to travel beyond our borders and expand their creative horizons to include styles and techniques, best experienced in direct dialogue and work with creative artists. It is our hope that through independent travel to and dialogue with world theater artists, fellowship recipients will increase their creative capacity and return to enliven the American theater with new productions fueled by their expanded perspective of world theatre.
Each year, four applicants (between the ages of 21 and 29 yrs) will be selected to receive one-year travel stipends of thirty thousand dollars($30,000) to support their project initiatives in one of these four regions. Selection will be based upon the individual’s demonstration of artistic excellence and resourcefullness, as well as her/his ability to articulate the potential impact of this grant upon future artistic growth.

Editor Wanted for Two Projects
I'm a director looking for an LA based editor for two projects:
The first is to work ASAP on a comedic short/s. I'd ideally like to start working with an editor the w/c 15 Feb. It's a fun script, strong DP and sound man, plus the actors involved are great (Eric Ramey - Ray Donovan, House of Lies; Nick Maccarone - Law & Order SVU). For a small fee; mainly for credits/experience.
The second project is more continuous editing work for a very new start-up agency I'm working with. We are building e-businesses for various clients, including a set of yoga videos to shoot later this month, which will involve 2-3 days of editing. The other project is taking an existing set of videos and cutting them for an online learning platform. We are also currently considering setting up a YouTube video production service for clients. There's lots of room to grow in the position.
If you are interested, please email me at annagjones@gmail.com and provide a quote for your work on either/both projects.
