Principal's Corner

Good Afternoon,

I hope you enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving recess full of food, family and friends. I write to you this afternoon with bittersweet news of a change in staffing in our front office. I offer a warm congratulations to Ramah Hawley who is excited to embrace a new challenge as she moves to central office to take over for the recently retired Carol Lucenta as the Administrative Assistant to Assistant Superintendent Brad Crozier. Ramah has been a positive presence and office leader at Wayland Middle School for the past 5+ years. Her competence, professionalism, and warm heart will be sorely missed, as she truly embodies what is best about BERT. Ramah has gone above and beyond for WMS for so long and will continue to share her many, many talents to benefit our entire school district.

I am relieved to report that t he multi-talented  Kelly  Lopez, who has skillfully served  Wayland Middle School  in a variety of roles over the last four years, is excited to take over Ramah's post. Kelly  knows our schedule, our staff, our students, and has an eye for the many details that make this school hum. I know the front office team will work hard to get Kelly up to speed with all things in the office to ensure a smooth transition.  Kelly will train with Ramah the second half of this week, and Ramah's last day will be Friday, December 4th. If you happen to be in the office later this week, please take a moment to wish Ramah well and welcome Kelly to her new role.

Warm regards,
Betsy Gavron
