Looking back and planning ahead...the arrival of the New Year always gets me thinking about the connection between past and future.  With CASI, that connection is profound.  4 years ago, a new animal shelter was only a dream...something needed, but seemingly out of reach.  Now, the new, life-saving shelter is under construction.

 

CASI has reached its first goal, and on January 21, we are giving Carson City $200,000.  That money represents a commitment by many to speak for those who have no voice and to find solutions to problems that seem too big.  Our willingness to put in thousands of hours not only raised money, but more importantly, raised awareness as to what can be accomplished when we work together.

 

CASI continues to dream, and 2016 brings with it the opportunity to do more.  We have changed our mission statement from raising money to help build a shelter, to raising money to help equip the shelter, but that's not all.  CASI wants to provide assistance in areas such as spay/neuter, networking, emergency medical care and educational outreach.

 

To everyone who has supported the effort to help our homeless animals, it is time to celebrate!  Your passion and commitment has truly helped the dream of a new shelter come true.  With your help, 2016 will be no less amazing.
