Hopefully, by the time you read this you have dug out! This winter has been unbelievable, but it did not stop us from having fun, like the 2 fundraising events that took place on March 14! The ski race at Loon Mountain and the Roller Kingdom party brought in over $6000. Thanks to all of you who participated! You are the reason SMILE Mass continues to thrive.

Well, you all know I'm a little competitive, but the snow record was one I could have lived without. My skis are stashed away and i am official ready for spring! So despite it is still cold, I am back hitting the pavement, training for the 200 mile Ragnar Relay on May 8 and 9 and all the other upcoming road races I will be doing with Nicholas in 2015.

An imminent goal for the summer of 2015 is to partner up with several resorts and hotels both on Cape Cod and in Boston to not only expand our Loaner Program but to also make it easier for families to request all the product they need on vacation or quick getaways. Furthermore, we're in fast pursuit to acquire the perfect Cape Cod vacation rental for families who wish to vacation together, despite disability.

So, although our plans are grand, I'm convinced that we'll reach all of our goals for 2015.  If you have a passion for running and think you might even have a streak of Viking in you, come roar with us. Nicholas' Angels have a few bibs left for the sold out 2015 Ragnar Relay Race.  Or simply consider sponsoring us!

And, as always, click here for a complete calendar of events!

Last but not least, honk when you see me out there!!

Ragnar Relay Race May 8-9

SMILE Mass is proud to announce that we have 2 Teams running in the 2015 Ragnar Relay 200 mile race from Hull to Provincetown. The 'Ganglia Strikes Back' and 'Nicholas' Angels' are back for revenge.

Last year each team completed the full race in 30 hours or less. At this point we are still looking for a couple of runners. If you think you are Ragnar material contact us at  info@smilemass.org to inquire about a Bib number.

What separates Ragnarians from the rest of the running community and world? Is it our outstanding running abilities? Probably not. What about our remarkable ability to make running in a tutu look sexy? Maybe. The real thing that sets Ragnarians apart is that we make the most of life. Ragnarians are everyday people who seek to do extraordinary things. Furthermore, running for all those who can't is a privilege.

If you can't join us, please consider sponsoring one of our runners. Visit SMILE Mass Ragnar runners,  'Nicholas' Angels', to get to know our fierce runners that over the years have continued to support SMILE Mass.

Looking for SMILE Mass Ambassadors and Captains

If you love to run or just like to be outside, this opportunity might be for you!

SMILE Mass is looking for Ambassadors and Captains

to participate in regional races throughout the year. Our motto is: "We run for all those who can't."

SMILE Mass Ambassadors have the privilege of enabling kids and adults with disabilities the chance to do it all! We've created a junior and adult Ambassador team. Our Ambassadors support Captains (individuals with disabilities) through an entire race, allowing them their moments of glory in finishing a road race and being part of their community-- in other words, doing what so many other families take for granted!

Click here for details about becoming an Ambassador or Captain.
