BOOK OF THE MONTH

Looking for a good read? This month I recommend:

"Cat Sense: How the New Feline Science Can Make You a Better Friend to Your Pet"
by John Bradshaw
(Basic Books)

Ever wonder what your cat is thinking, and why he or she acts a certain way?
In this fascinating 2013 book, British anthrozoologist John Bradshaw takes us further into the mind of the domestic cat to explain the true nature of our feline friends. Drawing on his own research and that of his colleagues, Bradshaw's book is part history, part science and part owner's manual (for you and your cat.) You will come away with a greater appreciation of how complicated cats are as well as some new ideas on how to share your life with one.

Prefer dogs? Bradshaw has also published "Dog Sense," which was a New York Times best-seller.
