Fall Focus

The middle school group meets with Father Zolner in the clergy office to discuss the Book of Revelation
This study will explore the book of Revelation, looking at the social and historical context of the book as well as decifering the many symbols used by John.  We will discuss not only what the book meant to the people for whom it was written, but also how we can apply it to our own 21st Century Christian lives.

The high school group meets with Mr. and Mrs. Porter in the youth room to discuss Church History
Starting with the Hellenization of the Jews in 323 BC through the Christian Church up to 590 AD. We will discuss some of the history of the church, the Church Fathers, Church Councils, theological thought, as well as  tidbits of secular history at the time, to anchor the overall activity going on around them. The discussions will include cultural challenges that the early church had to face and compare to the issues of today.

Mission

Our Mission is to instill children with a sound knowledge of Scripture and the Anglican tradition.  We accomplish this through worship, education, and parish engagement.   Scope and Sequence

WoW! Women of the Word
Bible Study This Week
Tuesday, September 1st - 10:30 a.m. in Bishop Alpha Hall

St. George's Women of the Word will continue our study of the Gospel According to St. Luke on Tuesday when we will discuss Luke 20:1-22:6. This corresponds to chapter 10 in the John MacArthur study guide. Please note that the study guide is not essential; simply reading the scripture passages ahead of time is sufficient preparation.

Don't forget that Holy Communion is offered at 10:00 a.m. immediately before our class, and I cannot think of better preparation than that act alone! Questions? Contact Karla Probert: [email protected], 651-6880.

Complimentary onsite CHILD CARE AVAILABLE!

Rector's Breakfast & Bible Study
Wednesday, September 2nd - 7:00 a.m.
