Steph Johnson, Dr. Seahorse and The Lovebirds comprise an amazing line up for a cause that is close to their hearts; bringing music to the lives of youth, teens and young adults with special needs. Please join us for an exciting afternoon of music, live auction, and more!

A portion of ticket sales and proceeds from the event will go directly to music therapy scholarships and programs for youth with special needs.

A frequent guest musician at our Jam Sessions, Steph is 2011 San Diego Music Awards Best Jazz Artist nominee and winner of the 2010 San Diego Music Award for Best Jazz Album, winner of the inaugural SD Magazine Songwriting Competition.

Vocalist and guitarist Steph Johnson is that rare panoramic talent that captures your attention from the first note. Her blend of Soul, Jazz, Funk, and Blues has been featured on KPRI FM and KSDS Jazz 88, with numerous television appearances. She has opened shows for music legends like Stanley Clarke, Poncho Sanchez and Maceo Parker, backed up Cuba Gooding Sr., and worked with a number of Grammy Award- winning artists and performers. Steph enjoys a residency at Croce's Jazz Bar where her dynamic trio featuring Rob Thorsen on upright bass and Fernando Gomez on drums, has been receiving rave reviews.

Dr. Seahorse

Dr. Seahorse is a unique two-man group who captivate their audiences with fresh beats, quirky dance moves, and catchy melodies. Trevor Davis (Lead singer who won a spot on NBC's The Voice Season 4) brings a strong soulful voice while Mark (Producer & Drummer) wraps it up with energetic beats. The duo's catchy songs along with unique use of drum machines, beats, and live percussion are sure to keep audiences across the country entertained.  

The duo began dreaming up an electronic project where Trevor would write the songs on acoustic guitar then deliver them to Mark, who would program beats and replace the guitar with fresh interesting sounds. They came up with a sound they've tagged "electro-swag" and is a blend of Michael Jackson meets Postal Service meets a Wes Anderson movie. Both emotionally honest and entertainingly quirky, the lyrics speak to your soul while the music dances into your ears.

The Lovebirds 
The Lovebirds are a folk/pop duo featuring award-winning San Diego songwriters Lindsay White and Veronica May. The Lovebirds were recently selected as winners of the 2014 Kerrville Folk Festival New Folk songwriting contest. Recorded at Berkley Sound, their third album Breakup Shmakeup chronicles the experience of ending their romantic partnership in order to preserve their musical partnership. Caution: a live performance by The Lovebirds is a tornado of sights and sounds which may include short skirts, high heels, skinny ties, confidence glasses, percussive guitar, rock ukulele, stand-up drumkits, and harmonies that won't quit. Join the flock, already.

Belly Up
The Belly Up is a live music venue in Solana Beach, California.  Banding Together is excited to be hosting our 4th annual Greatest Hits Fundraiser here! Belly Up is a 21 and over venue.
