On Wednesday, April 20, 2016 the Monticello-Jasper County Chamber of Commerce will sponsor its annual Golf Tournament.  The tournament will be held at Hunter Pope Country Club and is open to the first 68 golfers.  The four man scramble tournament begins at 1 o'clock.  Entry fee is $50.00 per person and includes 3 mulligans, dinner, cart and green fees.  A portion of this year's tournament proceeds will go to Rescue Me Georgia to benefit The Jasper County Animal Shelter.  Cash prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams, straightest drive on hole #1, longest drive on hole 16, closest to pin prizes on #4, #6, #11, and #18.  Ginn Chevrolet is sponsoring a hole in one prize on hole #18, and there will be a cash "split the kitty" raffle.

Congratulations!  The Monticello-Jasper County Chamber of Commerce would like to wish Peggy Billerman a Happy Retirement!!!

Peggy worked for the City of Monticello for eleven years and served as City Manager for the past 3 years.  Before working for the city, Peggy worked in the Zoning Department for Jasper County.  In addition, she served on the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce during her employment.
                 Thank you Peggy for your service to Monticello and Jasper County!

Become a volunteer today!

The Monticello-Jasper County Chamber of Commerce has two main areas of focus: business and tourism.  With such a diverse range of impact, there is a place for everyone to get involved!  How can you serve your community?
 
GREETER:   Meet and greet visitors / tourists, give  directions & general local information, answer phone calls.
 
HOSPITALITY:   Prepare foods for special events.  Example:  breakfast or lunch items, desserts, gift baskets, etc.  
 
FARMER'S MARKET:   Help on Saturday's during the market.  Assist vendors load & unload items, help with special events.
 
GOLF TOURNAMENT:   Attend planning meetings, approach potential sponsors & players, set-up & take down on day of tournament.
 
DEER FESTIVAL:   Serve on committee (Deer Dash, pageant, parade, entertainment), be a quadrant supervisor, etc.
 
OTHER COMMITTEE'S:   Help with different projects, events, and committees throughout the year.  Example:  Membership Drive, Leadership Jasper, Shop Small Saturday, Town Hall Meetings, Forums, and more.
