Handicap - You've Gotta Have It!

Getting a handicap opens the door to a new world of golf - and shows you're serious about your game.   Establishing a handicap index will give you immediate credibility, and it's a GREAT way to track your improvement throughout the season.  EWGA offers the GN21 Handicap Service (provided by GolfNet) for its members.  Handicaps issued by GolfNet are sanctioned by the USGA and follow all the rules for handicaps established by the USGA.

Here are the  Benefits of GN21 :
  • It's included in your membership!
  • Post scores via the EWGA website.
  • Print a handicap card on the GN21 website.
  • View your scoring history.
  • Track personal game statistics.
  • Maintain a personal golf calendar.
  • Access 20,000+ golf course profiles.
  • Communicate with other members.
  • Attest scores for other members.

General purposes of establishing a handicap

The purpose of the USGA Handicap System is to make the game of golf more enjoyable by enabling players of differing abilities to compete on an equitable basis.

Having a handicap index allows golfers to participate in more events (those that require a handicap index), have a measurable means of tracking improvement, and allows score adjustments to even the playing field when playing with golfers of different skill levels.
