Meet Rachel Maxim
Jamie Staton's Mile 9 Virtual Running Partner

At just 13 years old, Rachel Maxim, from Charlestown, became the first Special Olympics New Hampshire athlete to compete in the 3000M run at the 1999 Special Olympics World Games in North Carolina - and she took home a silver medal!  Since then, Rachel has replaced her running shoes with bocce balls - but still holds the title for longest distance run by a Special Olympics New Hampshire athlete at a World Games!

Today Rachel competes in Special Olympics New Hampshire year round with Fall Mountain Special Olympics in Alpine-Skiing, Basketball, Bocce and Ten-Pin Bowling.
