President's Message

Donna Broderick
In Anna Karenina, Leo Tolstoy wrote, "spring is the time of plans and projects."

Our 2015 nonprofit recipients have definitely been making a lot of progress on their projects! Here is a quick update on what your membership donation has made possible:

Freestore Foodbank ordered the pickup truck to pull the customized trailer for the Healthy Harvest Mobile Market and is in the process of designing the interior layout.
Activities Beyond The Classroom  has wasted no time preparing the space for their new athletic facility.  The empty Krueck Center pool space at Hughes High School has been filled in and flooring will soon be installed including an Impact 100 Logo in the center of the court.
May We Help  has purchased tools and equipment for the newly renovated workshop. These pieces of equipment are already having a direct impact on the program, especially in their ability to quickly replicate popular requests.
SELF Immediately began expansion of their Build-up Academy. The grant will double the capacity of the Build-Up Academy program which trains, educates and mentors under/unemployed young adults so they can gain employment in the construction field.

While last year's grant recipients are in the midst of their projects, our cycle to identify this year's grant recipients continues.  The Focus Area Committees will be back at work this month reviewing applications from the 24 agencies invited to submit grants.  There are many wonderful, strong grant proposals that have the potential to make a lasting impact on our community.  This year once again promises stimulating site visits and difficult choices as we work to identify the agencies that will be Finalists - and then select FOUR Grant Recipients in September.

Our March Educational (EDU) event brought together 70 members with nonprofit representatives from our 5 focus areas aligning with our mission to educate our members. The over capacity crowd at this annual event was very interested to hear about nonprofit initiatives and concerns in our community and also enjoyed sharing a few stories of their own over wine and appetizers.

The Impact 100 Board recently set a goal of awarding 5 grants of $100,000+ each in 2017.  This is a stretch goal for the organization - yet we know for each new grant we can fund, one more very deserving nonprofit agency will be able to create a transformational impact in our community.  Our Membership/Recruiting  team is already hard at work but we need the help of all our members to reach this goal. Please introduce your friends, colleagues, and relatives to Impact 100 ... and bring a friend to an Impact 100 event . There's nothing more powerful than a personal invitation from a trusted friend!  For prospects, there is nothing more powerful than seeing Impact 100 in action.

We are thrilled to announce that Impact 100 has received a $20,000 grant from the H.B., E.W. and F.R. Luther Charitable Foundation, Fifth Third Bank and Narley L. Haley Co-Trustees. We thank them for their generous support in our membership drive and our 15th year anniversary celebration.

May all your plans and projects give you joy this spring!

All the best,
Donna Broderick

Seeking 2016-2017 Corporate Impact 100 Sponsors!

One hundred percent of Impact 100 member contributions are utilized to fund the grants each year. Consequently, Impact 100 relies on the generosity of our members, local foundations and corporate sponsors to underwrite our operating costs.

Our Impact 100 Member & Prospect list reaches thousands of women in Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky.  Depending upon sponsorship levels, companies can receive recognition on all member and prospect emails and invitations, our website, and recognition at events throughout the year. In addition, sponsors receive mention in our newsletters and on Social Media platforms.
