"March Madness" Leaves Camp in Stitches

It's called "March Madness!" The NCAA tourney to narrow a field of 68 to the Final Four is insane. Millions fill out (and tear up!) brackets. Productivity plunges. Sleep suffers. It's fun. It's crazy. Camp Lebanon has its own version of "March Madness!" It's called...[read more]
Thirty Years - "A Good Start!"

Thirty April Fool's Days ago, Bill and Lisa Abeler  begun their full-time service with Camp Lebanon.  Two flat tires (no foolin'!) kept them from getting to Camp on time for their first day of work and the adventures have continued ever since.  For Bill, becoming Executive Director was a "coming home" to the camp he first visited as a seven-year-old family camper.  With a three-person staff, Lisa started as the "office everything" and eventually grew into her current role as Director of Women's Ministries.  "We've been privileged with a front row seat to witness innumerable blessings of God." Bill noted. "Camp has also been a great place to raise our three kids. We are so grateful for our many, many friends who through the years came along side  to keep us going."

Rich Olson - "Rico"

In a nutshell, Rich would say he is a guy who loves Jesus, coffee, talking about Jesus over coffee, music, people, and ultimate Frisbee. He first visited camp as a toddler and has not stopped coming back. He now works as the Director of Youth Ministries. He answered sixteen get-to-know-you questions...(read more)
Wake Up Call Ends with Sweet Sleep

One year ago, Camp Lebanon connected with El Nathan in Flagstaff AZ, a fledgling camp serving Native American populations. Hearing of the urgent need for new mattresses, Camp's summer campers put the matter to rest by sending $3200 from the summer missions offering to purchase 24 comfortable and washable mattresses. The new beds arrived in March! The blessing doubled when El Nathan sent their old mattresses to a local homeless shelter.  The remaining $4200 of the missions offering is being sent to Source of Life Camp in Ukraine, a ministry partner since 1996. Sweet dreams, everyone!
