Any organization may join the Coalition, and there is no cost to become an Affiliate Member. Affiliate members are listed on our website, receive periodic communications on policy matters, and will be signed up for the weekly newsletter. Your organization can also apply to join the Coalition's Policy Council, where they play an active role in setting the public policy agenda for the Coalition and are invited to participate in frequent interactions with policymakers. What does it mean to be science literate? How science literate is the American public? How do we stack up against other countries? What are the civic implications of a public with limited knowledge of science and how it works? How is science literacy measured?
f the alarming amount of student debt in the United States. Currently, student debt is more than $1.2 Trillion dollars, higher than both credit card debt and auto loans. This debt is no longer held by private lenders. It was taken over by the Federal Government in 2010 when President Obama signed a bill that nationalized all student loans in the United States, making the Department of Education the sole lender.
en who would make it clear that if you are going to bring up a problem, you better follow it up with an idea of how to address it. It became the unspoken rule. There are enough people who can say what's wrong, who will say how to fix it? And hey, if those solutions have proven to be successful in the past, that's even better.
