Travel Oregon offers Free Training through Rural Tourism Workshops
On Tuesday, March 29th, business owners & community leaders, from Aumsville to Detroit, including State Representitive Sherrie Sprenger, met for the first session of the Rural Tourism Studio , hoste d by Travel Oregon, and organized by Grow EDC, to discuss ideas to increase economic vitality and livability throughout our Santiam Canyon Region by creating & implementing a travel & tourism program for our area.

We discussed our rich history, generated a compilation of regional assets, considered gaps in products & services, and looked at issues facing our region which have previously hindered growth.

If you missed the first session, you are still invited to be a part of the discussion & i mplementation. Please register to watch the online training seminars and then attend the Rural Tourism Studio: Session 2, which will be held at Gates Fire Hall, Tuesday, April 12, from 9am - 5pm. Don't miss this FREE training and an opportunity to be part of the solution.
