2016 Scholarship Recognition Reception
Scholarship donor Alice Hayden and recipient Andra Breshears
One hundred and forty guests attended a reception on Sunday, March 13, 2016, to celebrate the recipients of CCC Foundation scholarships for the 2015-16 school year. $600,000 in scholarships was awarded. Students walked across the stage as their names were read and scholarships were announced. CCC President Joanne Truesdell congratulated each student and took a moment so families could take photos to commemorate the occasion.

Guest speaker and scholarship recipient Amelia Alcala shared the importance of an education and succeeding despite obstacles, such as a disability or financial constraints. CCC and the Foundation have made a huge difference in her life.

Mary Greco, CEO of Clackamas Federal Credit Union, spoke on behalf of donors. She stressed the commitment to student success and the importance of Clackamas Community College for providing Education That Works for the people of Clackamas County.

Special thanks to the Foundation Board, the CCC Board of Education, Tammy McKay, Trio Catering, Sound Doctor Media, Tech Audio, Punky Scott and the event volunteers.

Foundation Office Is Moving
On Tuesday, April 5, the offices of Foundation staff are moving from the second floor of Barlow Hall to the first floor. There will be signs directing you to our new location.

If you enter the building through the doors at the U-shape driveway between Automotive and Manufacturing, proceed up the ramp. Our new offices are in the suite on the left at the top of the ramp.

If you enter the doors at the center of the building from the quad, our new offices are in the suite immediately on the right at the top of the ramp.

The Foundation mailing address, phone numbers and email addresses all remain the same. Contact with us may be limited that Tuesday and possibly Wednesday. We will return phone calls and emails as soon as possible.

Foundation Annual Meeting Update
We have changed the look and timing of what was previously known as the annual meeting.

This year's event will be held in the fall of 2016 and take place in the Clemans Sculpture Garden on the Oregon City Campus.  We will not be conducting business (election of officers).  Instead, we will be celebrating our donors and former Foundation board members, celebrating the success of the $10 million Education That Works campaign and toasting the success of a mighty group of individuals who come together as Friends of CCC.

Please stay tuned for more information and an invitation, which should arrive in your mail box during the month of August.
