Local Art Competition in Conjunction with
the Brubeck Jazz Festival

Downtown Stockton Alliance announces an art competition "Music of Dave Brubeck Inspires My Imagination" for local artists ages 18 and up.

Listen to the music by this unforgettable local composer and illustrate what you feel. Be inspired by great tunes like "Take Five," "Blue Rondo A La Turk," and others!

Selected designs will be displayed on street banners in Downtown Stockton in time for the 2015 Brubeck Jazz Festival and winning artists will be awarded a stipend. Digital submissions are accepted now through August 24.

The Stockmarket Is Back for the 2nd Round

The Stockmarket The first Stockmarket in May 2015 opened to a great crowd, positive atmosphere and an excellent selection of arts and crafts vendors. The organizers, Katie Macrae and Amy Sieffert, are excited to bring this indoor/outdoor fair back for its second round on July 18 at the old location of the Plea for Peace Center, 630 East Weber Ave.

The event offers locally made and designed goods including clothing, furniture, custom leather goods, jewelry, body care products, original art, home and garden decor, and a variety vintage vendors. It is also a fun opportunity to socialize, taste locally made foods and beverages, and listen to live music.

Full Moon Riders Are Coming!
MEET. RIDE. EAT.

Full Moon Riders Join us for a casual evening ride along the Downtown Stockton historic waterfront. The riders will meet July - November on a full moon night generally following a different route each month. The first ride is on July 31 with the starting point at Janet Leigh Plaza at 6 pm.

The rides will be casual, unsupported and 'ride at your own risk' events. Being prepared is wise (having lights, tools to change a flat, water, a cell phone, etc.). After the ride, enjoy Full Moon Riders' specials at the participating restaurants.

Check for updates on the Downtown Stockton's website and Facebook.

This event is brought to you by REI, Performance Bikes, San Joaquin Bicycle Coalition, Robby's Bicycle Shop, and supported by Downtown Stockton Alliance.
