Congregational Care
Addiction and Recovery Care

Holy Comforter has recently formed a ministry team as we continue our journey to providing a community of care for those who struggle or have struggled with alcoholism and/or other addiction(s). If you or someone you care for is struggling with addiction or substance abuse, we have parishioners in recovery who are available, willing to help and happy to talk or meet in confidence. If you are interested in speaking with one of the clergy or one of our experienced parishioners, please contact the Rev. Valerie Hayes or the Rev. Margaret Peel. If it is more comfortable to speak privately with a parishioner in recovery, they will connect you. We at Holy Comforter recognize that this is a sensitive topic that is often difficult to discuss. Our clergy and parishioners will handle these in confidence and with care. Please reach out to us!

AA Meeting

Every Monday at 7:00 p.m. in the Library, an AA Big Book meeting is available at Holy Comforter. This meeting is open and for men and women. Please contact the Rev. Valerie Hayes if you have questions.

Time to Sign Up To organize efforts to support our parish family, we are using TimeToSignUp. Contact the Rev. Valerie Hayes for more information or if you have a need.

Stephen Ministry Stephen Ministry Cares!

Is life feeling overwhelming at the moment? Have you experienced or are you anticipating a loss or transition? Are you facing a difficult decision? You may find the support of a Stephen Minister helpful during this period of time. Stephen Ministers are congregation members trained to offer high-quality, one-to-one Christian care to people going through tough times. Questions? Contact the Rev. Valerie Hayes.

Music & Liturgy
The Summer Pickup Choir Continues

If you have ever considered joining the choir, now is your chance to try it out; with no long-term commitment! Simply meet in the choir room at 9:30 a.m. for a brief rehearsal; then sing at the 10:00 service. No vestments needed; no midweek rehearsals. Questions? Please contact David Kelley.

Adult Christian Formation

Commitment is for one year at a time. Classes meet every other week from September through June. Spaces are still available in the Sunday 4-7 p.m. group. Questions? Please contact Norma Williamson. Flat Jesus Takeout Church: Send Us Your Pictures!

If you picked up a Takeout Pizza Box from the Narthex, in it you will find fun activities and ways that you can worship God, grow as disciples, and love your neighbor. Akin to "Flat Stanley," we want you to take "Flat Jesus" with you everywhere you go this summer. Snap a picture of yourself with your Flat Jesus and email it to Kristen Long. We'll post it on our Facebook page so that our parish can see where you--and Flat Jesus--go this summer. Have fun!
