ScoutingHelp Support the Boy Scouts - Join CAM for the 11th Annual Boy Scouts Building Connections Event - September 17

CAM, in conjunction with the Boy Scouts of America - Great Lakes Field Service Council, will hold its annual "Boy Scouts Building Connections" fundraising event on the evening of Thursday, September 17, at the Detroit Historical Museum.
  • 5:30 pm - Doors Open
  • 6:00 pm - Scout Ceremony and Presentation
  • 6:15 - 8:00 pm - Food Stations, Open Bar, Silent Auction, Raffles
  • 8:00 pm - Evening Concludes
"Building Connections" is the largest annual gathering of the construction community in southeast Michigan. It provides a unique opportunity for informal business and social interaction, while supporting the Scouting program for area youth and their families.

BG2016Time to Return Your 2016 Buyers Guide Contracts - Deadline September 15!

 

CAM is currently working on the 2016 Buyers Guide. The first mailing has been sent to all CAM Members, architects and engineers who currently have a listing in the Buyers Guide. These signed contracts MUST be returned no later than September 15th in order for you to receive a listing in the 2016 book.


A second mailing will be going out in the first week of September to all companies who have not yet sent their contracts back. 

 

The contracts MUST be signed and returned, whether or not you have changes to your listing.

 

If you are not listed in the CAM Buyers Guide, now is the perfect time to join CAM!  Contact Brent Meyers or Ron Riegel in the CAM Membership Department to find out how you can join CAM.

DavisNehrDavis Iron Works Promotes Frank G. Nehr, Jr.
Davis Iron Works, Inc., Walled Lake, recently announced that Frank G. Nehr, Jr. has become owner and president of the company.  Nehr, Jr. has worked in the construction industry for 31 years, 25 of which have been at Davis Iron Works, Inc.  He succeeds his father, Frank Nehr, Sr., who has been owner and president of Davis Iron Works, Inc. since 1984 and now serves as Chairman of the Board.
 
"I am honored to be president of Davis Iron Works, and am also proud to be a second generation business owner," said Nehr, Jr.  Notable recent projects by Davis Iron Works, Inc. include the DAC expansion in Detroit; the U of M Stadium expansion in Ann Arbor; and they are currently performing work on the Notre Dame Stadium expansion in South Bend, IN.
 
Nehr, Jr. is also a past president of the Great Lakes Fabricators and Erectors Association, and past 2012 Chairman of the Board of the Construction Association of Michigan (CAM).
 
Nehr, Jr. attended Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Engineering.   He is a member of Meadowbrook Country Club and Huron River Hunting & Fishing Club.  He resides in Howell with his wife, Patti, and their two children.
