Toronto, ON The Sailing competition at the 2015 Pan Am Games is a non-ticketed event and therefore free-of-charge for spectators! You can CLICK HERE to purchase tickets to the other sporting events. Ontario Sailing would like to congratulate the athletes that have qualified from Ontario at the various qualifying events for the Pan Am Games.
The team consists of the following athletes from Ontario:
- Brenda Bowskill (Radial)
- Lee Parkhill (Laser)
- Danielle Boyd (49er FX)
- Evert McLaughlin and Alexandra Damley-Strnad (Snipe)
- Dan Borg and Liana Giovando (Hobie 16)
- Terry McLaughlin, David Jarvis, David Ogden and Sandy Andrews (J 24)
Ontario athletes represent 11 of the 17 athletes on the full team. We would also like to congratulate our contract coach Thomas Fogh for his two years of work with some of these athletes. Thomas spent many days and nights traveling to run camps and to do regatta support. His commitment to the athletes showed in the many days he spent on and off the water supporting this program. This program was supported by a $150,000 investment by Ontario Sailing over the past two years with financial support by the Province of Ontario through the Ministry Tourism, Culture and Sport. Over the weeks leading up to the Games, Ontario Sailing has committed to support the athletes through more coach support, strength and conditioning, and nutritional support.
