Merry Christmas, Frohe Weihnachten, Joyeux Noel, Felix Navidad, and because of the new family connections Kala Hristouyienna!!
This is a time for families and friends, and an opportunity to reflect on our core values of love and compassion and how fortunate we all are. It's is a lovely time of the year, Orleans is lighting up, looks beautiful and is alive with celebration. If you're planning a quick break before Christmas, come to Orleans, or Chatham and think of us!
We're thrilled to announce that our son Jonathan and his wife Demitria are expecting a baby boy in April, our first grandchild! Jo is back in the UK for the holidays and I'll be joining her shortly with Beth. Not to put pressure on my family, but I am hoping to find a couple of tickets for an English soccer game (AKA football match) or two, in my stocking! I'll find myself in the minority, Jonny and Ollie are still working the grain harvest in the Outback in Western Australia, while Charlie is slumming it in Bali.
With the mild weather last month we were able to complete the outside painting for the Inn. The shingle is a subtle grey, the trim white, offering more depth and texture to the previous all white. We hope you like it. In the spring we plan to add a pergola to the left of the entrance door, new flower beds, lighting and fresh patio sofas, a chic and cozy retreat.
Wishing you a very Merry Christmas, seasons greetings to you all, and enjoy precious time with family and friends
Jo-Anne and Richard
