MEM Student Spotlight

Ahsan Ali Qureshi

Ahsan is a 32-year-old current student from Chicago, Illinois. He attended Northern Illinois University and is currently an Engineering Quality Assurance Analyst at ComEd. Ahsan loves to read and travel and secretly enjoys being a sous chef at home.

He chose the MEM program after  working eight years in the high-demanding, upstream energy industry. He felt he needed to diversify his skills by becoming more specialized in his current field and expanding his knowledge in business. He explains that in today's world, organizations demand engineering managers to make business related decisions. He believes MEM fills the gap, striking the perfect balance between engineering and business.

Ahsan wants future students to know that, " The program offers a lot more than just regular coursework. Co-curricular activities, networking events and seminars provide great benefits.  MEM provides a flexible curriculum with an excellent  catalog  of courses. You can choose courses that interest you or could benefit your current or future employment."
