HC DrugFree is working again this fall to help spread the word about the National Drug Take Back Day. A new location has been added this year in western Howard County to make it more convenient for all county residents to participate. If you choose to bring your medications to the disposal location at HC DrugFree's office, you will have a chance to receive a free medicine lock bag (approximate value $25) to store your medications safely.
Thank you to Proove Biosciences, Inc., for your continued sponsorship of HC DrugFree and Take Back Day.

According to The Partnership at Drugfree.org, two- thirds of teens who abuse prescription drugs are getting them from home, friends or family. The three steps to keeping a safe home are monitor, secure and dispose. Monitor what medications you have in the home, how much you have, if there is any missing. Secure what you need to have in the home, medicine lock boxes or bags can cost as little as $20. Dispose of old, expired, unused medication safely on the National Take Back Days held in the spring and fall.
