Namaste,

This month's theme is sustainability and Mother Earth. The definition of sustainability is to endure or last forever. Sustainability is very much about human well being as it is about environmental well being.  We have a responsibility to the Earth which is requiring more accountability from each of us.  Each day is unique and irreplaceable. Knowing this, never forget to live with a sense of wonder. Happy Spring!

" To understand Mother Earth is to understand the beauty of nature".

From Yashoda          Prayer Requests To Ma

Ma has always said, "no prayer is too small or too large."

As Ma continues to be present and available, we remind you and invite you, as always, to send your prayers to mamail@kashi.org.

We offer a place for one's journey into the heart and place all prayers into the sacred fire as the smoke rises from the dhuni and the bells ring from the temples. We feel the presence of the Goddess as we ask for her continued guidance and wisdom.

This active puja from our lineage helps to heal, comfort and bring you closer. We believe that prayer changes things and makes the spirit stronger.

"From the depth of your soul, ask anything of God the Father and God the Mother. Be generous with your prayers and be comfortable knowing that God is listening." Ma Jaya

Spring Fruit Tree Drive    Sustainable Kashi
There are lots of ways people can help Mother Earth. Being conscious  of the products and foods you buy and what businesses you support are good everyday practices. Using low energy appliances and LED light bulbs save you money and reduce pollution. One of my favorite ways to help Mother Earth is by planting trees. Especially fruit trees. Fruit trees not only provide fresh and healthy local food options they also create oxygen and provide habitat for so many of earths creatures including food for the struggling honey bee. Please help Kashi be more resilient, healthy, and sustainable by donating for this springs fruit tree planting drive.  Click Here to learn more about the types of trees we are hoping to plant and how you can donate to help make this happen.    Soo Se

Swami Nityananda's Birthday Puja

This coming Saturday, March 21st, we will be celebrating Swami Nityananda's birthday.  Swami Nityananda is the Father of the Chidakash, the heart space within and over the top of the head. He was Ma's teacher and prepared Ma for being with her guru, Neem Karoli Baba.

Also on this night, we will honor the memory of our Swami Moksha Ram.  Swami Moksha Ram had a deeply passionate and loving relationship with Ma.  He was gifted with the ability to teach meditation for achieving the Chidakash that is part of Swami Nityananda's legacy.

His family sponsors this puja with love and gratitude.

Puja Sponsorship Opportunities

The tradition of Kashi Ashram's Fire Pujas has been handed down to our hearts and hands by Ma. These pujas are the centerpiece of all Ashram activities with many visitors coming to Kashi to experience these beautiful and profound ceremonies honoring the beloved who dwells within each person's heart.

Kashi Puja Sponsorship Program

Sponsoring a puja is the heartfelt demonstration of one's commitment to sustaining this tradition at Kashi.

It's an opportunity for those who have been looking for ways to deepen their roots in the Mother Ashram as well as those who would like to sponsor a puja as a personal prayer request.

Aside from being listed as a sponsor in the puja program, the benefit of being a sponsor can only be felt knowing that you are a vital part of this sacred ceremony.

Ma's Maha Samadhi is the next Puja on the weekend of April 10, 2015

For a list of other pujas please click here.

To discuss sponsorship and get the details of sponsoring a puja, please contact Usha at 772-589-1403 ext. 100

In Memoriam
Hanuman Bhajarangi

We are deeply saddened to have lost one of our kids.  Hanuman Bhajarangi passed away on March 3rd.  He was just 21 years old. He died from the complications of lupus. He loved children and had a sweet relationship with Ma growing up.

We hold Chandra Devi and Ramayana Baba in our hearts and keep them in our prayers.

Rest in Ma's arms, Hanuman Bhajarangi

Ma Yoga Shakti and Ma

Ma Yoga Shakti

On February 21st,

as we were preparing for Shivaratri Fire Puja, we received word that Ma Yoga Shakti had taken Mahasamadhi. Many of us had enjoyed being in Mataji's presence over the years, both here at Kashi and at her Yoga Shakti Mission in Palm Bay. She and Ma loved each other very much.

Mataji has ashrams both in India and America and was instrumental in the spread of Yoga throughout the west.  Her students honor her as Mataji - Mother - and she showered compassion and all-embracing love on everyone who came to her.

A Moment From Ma
"Mother Earth has granted us the beauty of her being.  She has allowed us to live upon the joy of her pounding heart - the Earth itself. It is up to all of us, every single human being, to create a space in which we can worship the Earth. It does not matter our religion, or our faith, or even if we don't have a religion, but what matters is to hear our own footsteps walking upon Her.  She who has granted us solace by giving us a space to work toward our soul's opening at the time of death. She has given us a place to work out all karmas and we must honor Mother Earth, also known as Mother Nature, by being aware and always remembering - this Earth is a gift to each one who breathes and even those that do not".

Love, MA

March Joke

A child asked his father, "How were people born?" So his father said, "Adam and Eve made babies, then their babies became adults and made babies, and so on." The child then went to his mother, asked her the same question and she told him, "We were monkeys then we evolved to become like we are now." The child ran back to his father and said, "You lied to me!" His father replied, "No, your mom was talking about her side of the family."
