White House Announces New USTDA Commitments to Support Increased Trade & Investment with Africa
ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia - Monday, July 27, 2015 - This week, during President Obama's visits to Kenya and Ethiopia, the White House announced a number of new initiatives to strengthen trade and investment ties between the United States and Africa.

August 9-20, 2015: Sub-Saharan Africa Agribusiness Reverse Trade Mission, Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota
USTDA will be hosting a delegation of senior officials from sub-Saharan Africa's agribusiness sector to the United States for the Agribusiness Reverse Trade Mission (RTM). The visit is designed to introduce delegates to U.S. companies that provide equipment and services for large scale agribusiness projects and to showcase state-of-the-art U.S. agribusiness technologies and facilities.

August 18, 2015: Sub-Saharan Africa Agribusiness Business Briefing for U.S. Companies, Fargo, North Dakota - USTDA will be hosting a Business Briefing on August 18th in Fargo, ND to introduce delegates on a sub-Saharan Africa Reverse Trade Mission to a variety of U.S. companies active in the industry. The business briefing will provide an opportunity for delegates to discuss upcoming agribusiness projects in sub-Saharan Africa with interested U.S. Firms and agencies in attendance.

 

November 3-5, 2015: U.S. - India Aviation Summit, Bangalore, India - In collaboration with the U.S.-India Aviation Cooperation Program and the Government of India, USTDA is hosting the  5th U.S.-India Aviation Summit . This event will convene senior representatives from the public and private sectors in both countries to identify opportunities to advance the robust aviation partnership between India and the United States.

Turkey: EPC Contract for 70MW Waste-to-Energy (WTE) Facility  - In 2010, USTDA provided funding for a Feasibility Study (FS) for the construction of a solid Waste-to-Energy (WTE) plant for the Istanbul Environmental Management Industry and Trading Company A.S.
